Attracting and Keeping Great Clients - 45
Marketing Mediums
By Lynda Curtin, The Opportunity Thinker
I developed this table of marketing mediums
because I noticed that a common factor among many client
organizations, and across industries, is contributing to frustrating
results. Most Training/OD/OE departments do not have marketing
expertise. This short article is to help you think about marketing.
Everything your customer comes in contact with is
part of your marketing effort. The key is to be consistent in your:
approach, image, promise, quality, positioning, strategy, value,
problems solved, materials, communication, reputation, etc.
The table below contains 45 different marketing
mediums. It is by no means complete. Which ones are you using? Which
ones could you be using? Which ones do you have access to but have
not thought to use as a marketing medium? How could you combine
them?

When was the last time you reviewed
your marketing mediums? Which ones are still working? Which ones are
not as successful as they used to be? Which ones need to be updated?
Are you getting ready to launch a new product or service? What could
you do differently to attract the attention of your clients?
Remember, if you try a new marketing medium and it doesn't work,
that is just fine. You can select another one! Experiment your way
to attracting and keeping great clients!
